Terms of Use
Effective October 4, 2026
The short version: mSpendVanta is licensed to you under Apple's standard terms. Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. The app helps you organize your own information — it isn't financial advice, and its estimates may not match your actual balances.
These terms apply to mSpendVanta for Mac and the mSpendVanta companion app for iPhone (together, "the app"), made by [Your Company Name] ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.
Your license
The app is licensed, not sold, to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). These terms add to the Apple EULA; where they conflict, the Apple EULA applies.
Free trial, subscriptions and purchases
- You can explore the app with sample data for free. Using the app with your own data requires a Monthly or Annual subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase.
- New subscribers may be offered a free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and is charged to your Apple Account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Moving from Monthly to Annual takes effect immediately, and Apple refunds the unused part of your Monthly period. Buying Lifetime doesn't cancel a subscription — cancel it separately so you aren't charged again.
- Payments, refunds and renewals are handled by Apple under its terms. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If your subscription ends, you can still open the app and view your existing data, but importing and making changes require an active plan.
Not financial advice
The app is a tool for organizing and reviewing your own spending. It doesn't provide financial, tax, accounting or legal advice. Budgets, estimates and projections — including end-of-month balances — are based on the files you import and the information you enter, and may not reflect your actual account balances or future transactions. Always check important figures with your bank.
Your data and responsibilities
- You're responsible for the files you import and the information you enter, and for making sure you're allowed to use them.
- Your data is stored on your devices and in your own iCloud account, as described in our Privacy Policy. We can't access, recover or restore it for you, so please keep your devices and iCloud backups up to date.
- The app reads statement files exported by your bank. Banks may change their formats, and we can't guarantee that every file will import correctly.
Acceptable use
Don't reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, or use it in any way that breaks the law or the Apple EULA.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties beyond those in the Apple EULA, and we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss — including financial decisions made using the app, missed payments or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post changes on this page and update the effective date above. If you keep using the app after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], United States, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
